Alert Details

Low corn earworm migration risks are in the forecast tomorrow night into Wednesday mainly along/east of the Mississippi River as gusty south to southwest winds may lead to some isolated corn earworm moth flights into the risk area. While there is little to no threat to field corn crops especially at this point in the growing season, the risk is primarily focused at fresh market/vegetable/garden growers that may have specific host plants that may be affected by localized corn earworm flights. Any more significant flights at this point in the year may result in some generations later this summer that could affect field and sweet corn crops if moths can find suitable hosts.
