Corn Earworm
As a low pressure system and attendant cold front moves through the corn-growing region this weekend and into early next week, the possibility exists for isolated corn earworm moth flights especially in areas west of Lake Michigan and the I-57 corridor in eastern Illinois from Saturday into Monday. Moths originating primarily in Texas may make their way into the corn-growing region. While the threat to field corn is very low to none given crop stage, other fresh market vegetables and gardens with suitable host plants may see some isolated pressure especially in more advanced crops.
