Corn Earworm
A cold front is expected to move across the corn-growing region over the next day or so. South to southwest winds to the east of the front may lead to some isolated corn earworm migration possibilities especially in the southern Great Lakes and eastern corn-growing region along/east of the I-55 and I-57 corridors in far southeast Missouri and eastern Illinois. Of greatest concern at this point is fresh market and garden growers, as they may have some crops that could either serve as suitable hosts or potentially be near critical growth stages where corn earworms may cause some damage. Little to no migration risk is predicted for the rest of the week and next weekend once this front clears the region.
