Corn Earworm
Low corn earworm migration risks are in the forecast tomorrow night through the weekend as southerly wind flow persists ahead of a cold front. This front should move through much of the corn-growing region by later Sunday into Monday before returning north as a warm front. Low risks extend from the Plains states north into South Dakota and Minnesota, and west of the Mississippi River tomorrow night into Friday, and then focusing further southeast Friday night into Saturday as the cold front moves southeast. Low risks then extend from the southern Great Lakes into the Ohio River valley Saturday night into Sunday. Fresh market and garden growers should continue to monitor their crops as these would be the ones most susceptible to corn earworm damage at this point in the growing season.
