Corn Earworm
Low corn earworm migration risks return to the forecast early next week when a weak cool front moves through the corn-growing region. A corridor of south to southwest winds may lead to some isolated moth flights immediately east of the front. Low risks are predicted from generally east of a line from near Springfield, Missouri to Wausau, Wisconsin and along/west of the I-75 corridor in eastern Michigan southward into Kentucky. Growers with crops at or near a susceptible stage of damage should continue monitoring traps and scout fields as numerous flights have been observed in recent weeks.
