Corn Earworm
Corn earworm migration risks return to the forecast Wednesday night into Thursday as southerly winds return initially to the Plains states and western corn-growing region in response to developing low pressure in southern Canada. Low risks are found west of I-35 Wednesday night into Thursday, with the risk spreading east nightly into next weekend. By Friday night into Saturday, portions of the southwestern Great Lakes region and into the Ohio/Mississippi River valleys are also included in the risk. For now, Low risks are predicted until confidence in wind speeds and placement increase later this week.
