A cold front will continue to move southeast through the corn-growing region over the next 24-36 hours. South to southwest winds will continue east of the front, and precipitation may serve as insect drop-zones for any migrating corn earworm moths from mid-south and southern states source regions. Given crop stage and time of year, only Low risks are predicted at this time mainly east of a line from Springfield, Missouri to Chicago, Illinois, but growers should monitor traps and also any host plants for signs of new moths in the coming week.
