Alert Details

Corn earworm migration risks re-enter the forecast by early next week as a cold front begins to drop southeast out of the northern Plains and southern Canada region. High pressure is expected to move off to the east far enough by Monday into Tuesday that southerly winds will increase and focus over especially fields west of the Mississippi River. Low migration risks are now in the forecast for Monday into Tuesday roughly along and west of the Mississippi River and also including a portion of Wisconsin, as well, closer to the cold front. We are still several days out so some adjustments are probable, and we encourage those with crops at susceptible stages to corn earworm damage to monitor forecast updates as we move into early next week.
