Corn earworm migration risks return to the forecast by later Sunday into Monday and right into next week as southerly winds increase especially across the western and central corn-growing region. High pressure in eastern corn-growing region fields will hold pretty firm into early next week, so any migration risk will focus southeast of an advancing cold front in the northern Plains and northern corn-growing region. Low risks are initially in the forecast Sunday into Monday west of or along the Mississippi River and remain there until later Tuesday into Wednesday with a further southeast push as far as far southwest lower Michigan, Indiana, and western Kentucky as the cold front moves southeast. Risks are being kept in the Low category for now given less than ideal wind speeds.
