A very active late summer weather pattern is likely to continue into next weekend as initially a cold front is likely to stall from northeast to southwest from lower Michigan into Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas over the next few days. Any south to southwest winds south of this front may focus along/south of I-70 and more so near the Ohio River, but Low migration risks are in the forecast tomorrow night into Thursday roughly along/south of I-80 as there is some uncertainty in how far north/south this front will get. Low pressure will begin to develop across the central Plains during the late week period and send another cold front through the region. Again, when such an active pattern is in place and also when high pressure systems to the north are becoming stronger, there are some differences in just how far south this low and associated cold front will traverse. Latest trends have been to shift this further to south, and Low migration risks are in the forecast by next weekend mainly along/south of I-90 and I-94 (east of Lake Michigan).
