A potent but quick-moving low pressure system is predicted to move across the corn-growing region later tomorrow and into the weekend. A somewhat narrow window for potential corn earworm migration will exist tomorrow night into Saturday across portions of Kansas, eastern Nebraska, Iowa, southeast Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri, Illinois, western Kentucky, Indiana, and southwest lower Michigan before this front clears much of the region and leaves a cooler and generally drier weather pattern in place as we head into next week. Fresh market and processing growers should continue trapping and scouting efforts until harvest as some new flights will remain possible and moths and potential larvae from pre-existing flights may also be present.
