Corn Earworm
As a low pressure system and attendant cold front move through the western and central corn-growing region in the next few days, a Low corn earworm migration risk is predicted to the east of the front where south to southwest winds may result in isolated moth flights. Wind speeds are not expected to be very strong, but with origination points in a favorable corn earworm source region in northern Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, Low risks are predicted tonight into Wednesday morning from eastern Kansas into far southeast Nebraska, Iowa, far southeast Minnesota, southern Wisconsin, Missouri, and Illinois. No risk is predicted thereafter as wind flow is expected to decrease and conditions are not expected to be favorable for migration.
