Insect Alert For
Corn Earworm
Affected Area:
Alert Details
With a predominately northwest to southeast wind flow predicted across the entire corn-growing region in the next five days, no risk of corn earworm migration is in the forecast at this time. Any southerly wind events that would have the potential to allow moths to fly north from mid-south and southern United States source regions are predicted to remain further south where moths are already present in these areas, so no risk is warranted through early next week.
