Corn Earworm
Corn earworm migration risks return to at least a portion of the corn-growing region by late this week. Northwest to southeast flow is expected to dominate the weather across the Midwest through Wednesday, but a return to southerly winds is predicted by Thursday especially across the Plains. A Low migration risk is predicted for primarily Kansas, Nebraska, and western Iowa Thursday night into Friday morning. As southerly winds and precipitation chances increased by Friday into Saturday, fields as far north as South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin and also east into Illinois and Missouri are at a risk of seeing isolated moth flights by that time.
