Corn Earworm
A rather stagnant weather pattern with primarily light southerly winds is expected to dominate much of the corn-growing region in the next week. As a result, Low corn earworm migration risks are in place but the need for increased risks do not appear warranted at this time as larger scale flights are not expected. Low risks are in place initially across the Plains and western Midwest tonight into Friday morning and then shift east to near Lake Michigan and into Illinois by Friday night into Saturday. The risk eventually spreads east to cover much of the corn-growing region as far east as Ohio and southwest Ontario, Canada by late in the weekend into early next week.
