Alert Details

Corn earworm migration risks are predicted on a nightly basis through the next five days especially across the western and central portions of the corn-growing region. Persistent south to southwest winds originating in northern Texas, southern Oklahoma, western Arkansas, and northwest Louisiana will continue to provide the potential for scattered corn earworm flights further to the north. Periodic mainly nighttime precipitation events will serve as potential insect drop zones for any migrating corn earworms especially from Nebraska east into Illinois and points south through the next five days but a risk further north/east also exists Friday night into Saturday morning into the southern Great Lakes region as well.
