Alert Details

No corn earworm migration risk is predicted in the next five days. A dominant northwest to southeast flow weather pattern is predicted across the whole of the corn-growing region in the next week. High pressure across the corn-growing region and a cold front in the mid-south and southern United States should keep any southerly winds confined to source regions across the southern United States and not in the corn-growing region. Despite a lack of a migration risk, growers all across the corn-growing region should continue to monitor traps and their fields especially for signs of larvae that are now appearing from earlier flights this growing season.
