Alert Details

No risk of corn earworm migration continues through the next five days. A dominant northwest to southeast flow weather pattern is predicted to hold in place across the entire corn-growing region at least through next weekend. As a result, any corn earworm moths that are migrating are predicted to stay within active source regions in the mid-south and southern United States regions. Growers in the corn-growing region, however, are encouraged to continue to monitor crops that are especially at susceptible stages to damage as larvae from earlier moth flights this growing season are appearing in some fields and resulting in damage.
