Alert Details

Low pressure is predicted to move from the central Plains across the southern corn-growing region over the next couple of days. As it does so, a Low corn earworm migration risk is in place tomorrow night especially across southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, and western Kentucky as some southerly winds and scattered precipitation may result in some isolated drop zones, especially with active and higher population moths not far away in Arkansas, western Tennessee, and northwest Mississippi. Growers in this area should monitor for signs of new moths in the next several days. Otherwise, no corn earworm migration risks are in the forecast through the early part of next weekend as the main storm track is expected to shift south and largely out of the corn-growing region.
