Alert Details

Low corn earworm migration risks are in the forecast tonight into tomorrow morning as a low pressure system meanders across the Plains states and high pressure stays put in the Great Lakes region. Southerly winds may pose an isolated moth flight risk especially into the upper Midwest where some processing and fresh-market fields may still be at a susceptible stage to damage. No additional risks are in the forecast mainly due to a lack of stronger southerly winds. Some southerly winds are possible, but the overall threat looks pretty minimal especially given the time of year and lack of fields now at susceptible growth stages where damage could potentially occur.
