Corn Earworm
No risk of corn earworm migration is predicted until late in the week and into next weekend as northwest flow is likely to dominate the corn-growing region weather pattern this week. A Low migration risk is in the forecast across Kansas, Nebraska, and southern South Dakota Friday night into Saturday morning as a new area of low pressure develops in the western Plains states and southerly winds develop by that time. Growers with crops at susceptible stages to damage, especially fresh market and vegetable crops, should continue to monitor traps and plants as some flights may have occurred late last week and into this past weekend.
