Northwest flow will continue to dominate the weather pattern over the next couple of days, but return southerly flow should begin to impact especially the Plains states and portions of the western corn-growing region by as early as Friday night into Saturday as the next low pressure system develops in the High Plains. Low risks are in the forecast on Friday night across Kansas, Nebraska, and southern South Dakota. These Low risks continue in the forecast on Saturday night into Sunday morning along and west of I-35, and Low risks are also in the forecast Sunday night into Monday across portions of southeast Iowa, Missouri, and southwest Illinois in addition to areas along/west of I-35 as a weak low pressure area moves through this portion of the corn-growing region.
