Alert Details

After a brief break in the migration risks overnight tonight into tomorrow morning, Low risks return the forecast mainly west of the Mississippi River tomorrow night into Saturday morning as the next low pressure system begins to develop in the Plains and spreads southerly winds to its east. Overall, southerly flow is predicted to generally be lighter in nature so only Low risks are predicted at this time. The overall weather pattern is expected to be rather persistent through the weekend and into early next week, so Low risks to account for the potential of isolated moth flights remains in the forecast in fields along and west of the Mississippi River through early next week. A small extension of the risk does exist across Illinois, Wisconsin, southwest Michigan, and Indiana Saturday night into Sunday, but overall only isolated moth flights are anticipated through early next week. Fresh market and processing growers should continue monitoring traps and scout fields until the threat of damage has passed and/or the crop is harvested.
