Alert Details

A cold front is expected to continue to push to the southeast today into tomorrow and should be out of the eastern corn-growing region by the weekend. Ahead of the front, modest southerly flow may allow for some isolated corn earworm migration to occur especially east of the I-55 corridor in eastern Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and southern lower Michigan as well as far southwest Ontario, Canada tonight into tomorrow morning. Otherwise, northwest flow is expected to dominate the weather into early next week so no additional risks are in the forecast at this time. We are seeing signs that the weather pattern should turn more active by next week, so additional risks will be possible mid-late week next week.
