Corn Earworm
Corn earworm migration risks continue through the next five days across a fairly large portion of the corn-growing region. Despite the time of year, processors and fresh market growers especially in the northern reaches of the corn-growing region should continue to monitor traps and scout fields as additional moth flights will be possible through mid-week next week. Low risks focus mainly west of I-57 tonight into tomorrow morning and then in between I-35 and I-75 tomorrow night into Sunday morning as a cold front moves east. This first front, however, is expected to wash out and as a new low pressure develops in the northern Plains by late in the weekend, additional Low risks are in the forecast early-mid next week in fields mainly west of Lake Michigan.
