Corn Earworm
Corn earworm migration risks remain out of the picture until late next weekend and early next week when a low pressure system is likely to move across southern Canada. A cold front should push southeast into the Plains by that time, as well. High pressure, however, is expected to be positioned over the heart of the corn-growing region so the source region for any migrating moths would likely be in northern Texas or Oklahoma versus a more favorable source region further east in the mid-south. Thus, only Low risks for isolated moth flights are predicted generally west of I-35 Sunday night into Monday morning, or from Kansas northeast into South Dakota and western Minnesota.
