Corn Earworm
No risk of corn earworm migration is predicted through next Monday night as either calm or light northeast winds remain in place across virtually all of the corn-growing region.
By the middle of next week, a cold front is expected to push through at least the upper Midwest and Great Lakes region as a low pressure system moves rather quickly from west to east across southern Canada. A short period of southwest winds is anticipated to the east of this front. As a result, a Low risk of corn earworm migration is predicted especially across the upper Midwest and Great Lakes region where some field and fresh market crops may still be at a susceptible stage to insect damage mainly on an isolated basis.
