Corn Rootworm
As the corn crop continues to advance closer to maturity, corn rootworm risks have been reduced into the Low category and primarily focused in the areas where the crop may still be at some risk, especially in later planted or re-planted fields. Low risks continue for the next several days across portions of Nebraska, the Dakotas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and into lower Michigan as well as further east into southern Ontario, Canada. Growers with less advanced crops in these areas should continue scouting efforts for the next several days but the overall threat to the 2022 corn crop is now dwindling and risks are likely to be removed from the forecast late this week or by next week.
