Corn Rootworm
Corn rootworm egg hatch is predicted to commence or continue across southern portions of the corn-growing region from southwest and southern/eastern Kansas east into Missouri, central/southern Illinois, and southwestern Indiana over the next several days. Growers in and near these regions, and including more isolated/scattered areas where soils may be more sandier further north, are encouraged to begin scouting for corn rootworms especially given more advanced planting and crop stage for late May this year.
