Corn Rootworm
High corn rootworm risks remain in the forecast for the next week across a large portion of the corn-growing region. Beetle counts and potential silk-clipping are the primary concerns at this point, with High risks extending from eastern Colorado into Kansas, Nebraska, the Dakotas, Minnesota, Iowa, northern Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, lower Michigan, and into southern Ontario, Canada. Growers are encouraged to continue scouting efforts and even if beetle counts are not at or above threshold where treatment is necessary, it will be important to note where these populations are present as it may affect your planting decisions going into next year.
