Corn Rootworm
The overall threat from corn rootworms is subsiding for this growing season, especially with corn pushing closer to or even into maturity in some areas. The lack of fresh silks in the vast majority of fields now results in the overall corn rootworm risk being reduced into the Low category for the next week, before the risk is removed entirely. There are still some very isolated concerns possible in the latest or re-planted fields from northeast Colorado into northwest Nebraska, the Dakotas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, lower Michigan, far northeast Indiana, northern Ohio, and into southern Ontario, Canada, but again the threat has passed for most fields this year.
