Corn Rootworm
Initial corn rootworm hatch risks have been introduced for the first time in the 2025 growing season especially by this weekend and beyond for a portion of the corn-growing region. Scattered initial hatches are possible from eastern Missouri into central and eastern Illinois, potentially as far east as central Indiana by this weekend. Hatches will not occur on a widespread basis and much depends on where rains fall this week, but growers should be ready to do initial scouting in or very near this region by next week.
