Corn Rootworm
Corn rootworm beetle risks remain in the forecast for the more intensive acreage areas of Kansas, Nebraska, the eastern Dakotas, Minnesota, Iowa, northern Missouri, central and northern Illinois, Wisconsin, central and northern Indiana and Ohio, lower Michigan, extreme southwest upper Michigan, and east into southern Ontario, Canada. Growers should be monitoring beetle populations and taking note where beetles are present as it may impact what planting intentions for next year may be and if intense enough pressure, current year treatment decision. Growers should also be advised that not all areas will see pressure, but it is still a good idea to scout to determine where populations are present especially where fresh silks are occurring.
