Corn rootworm hatch risks will continue across southwest into central and south central Kansas at the start of this week, but additional hatch risks enter the forecast by late week and into next weekend across eastern Kansas and western Missouri, as well as into portions of northeast Missouri into central Illinois. High risks for the potential of more widespread hatches and larvae presence are also being introduced to the forecast by late week and beyond across southern Kansas. Growers in and near these areas, especially with more advanced emerged fields, are encouraged to dig up roots and determine if any rootworm populations are present and at what level in the next week or so.
