Corn rootworm hatch risks will continue across southwest into central and south central Kansas, and additional hatch risks are now in the forecast across eastern Kansas and western Missouri, as well as into portions of northeast Missouri into central Illinois. High risks for the potential of more widespread hatches and larvae presence are also being introduced to the forecast across southern Kansas. Growers in and near these areas, especially with more advanced emerged fields, are encouraged to dig up roots and determine if any rootworm populations are present and at what level in the next week or so.
