Corn Rootworm
This growing season’s corn crop is now drying down in many areas, and as a result the subsequent corn rootworm risks are also rapidly winding down. We are maintaining a Low risk in the forecast across those areas that may have later maturing crops especially from northeast Colorado into northwest Kansas, portions of Nebraska, the Dakotas, northern Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, far northern Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio, lower Michigan, and into portions of southern Ontario, Canada. The overall concern for this year’s crop, however, has passed for most fields and we will be removing this year’s corn rootworm risks after this coming weekend.
