Corn Rootworm
Corn rootworms will continue to cause potential problems in fields, mainly on a scattered basis, all across the corn-growing region. Fields in eastern Colorado to Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and southwest Ontario, Canada may all see scattered rootworm problems. There are varying stages of this insect currently present depending on location, with beetles being the primary threat but some additional hatching may still be occurring in the Dakotas and northwest Minnesota as well. Growers all across the corn-growing region should monitor their crop and take appropriate action based on any potential need in their fields.
