Alert Details

Corn rootworms will continue to cause scattered problems in corn fields all across the corn-growing region in the next five days. Fields from eastern Colorado into northern Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, northern Missouri, northern and central Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, northern Indiana, northern Ohio, and southwestern Ontario, Canada are all at risk of seeing continued silk clippings especially on later planted or slower maturing corn. Growers with crops at critical growth stages should be closely monitoring their fields and take appropriate action if thresholds are met/exceeded or if damage appears to warrant treatment.
