Corn Rootworm
Corn rootworm hatch risks continue across much of the corn-growing region in the next week. Fields from northeast Colorado through Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, southeast and eastern South Dakota, central and southern Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, lower Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio are all at a continued risk of hatch continuing if it has not already done so. Fields in the upper Midwest from South Dakota into Minnesota, Wisconsin, and lower Michigan stand the highest chance of new hatches in the next week as fields in portions of these states may not have seen widespread hatches as of yet. Growers should monitor their fields for potential damage as numerous hatch and damage reports have been reported in the past few weeks.
