Corn Rootworm
With the majority of the corn crop now past critical growth stages where corn rootworms cause problems, the Moderate risk has been removed from the forecast with Low risks now in place for the next several days from northeast Colorado into northwest Kansas, Nebraska, the Dakotas, northern Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, lower Michigan, far northern Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio, and into southern Ontario, Canada. Growers should take note of any remaining beetle populations and their locations as this could impact planting intentions for next growing season. Overall, however, the threat from corn rootworms has passed for this growing season in most locations.
