Low corn rootworm risks remain in the forecast for the next few days from the central Dakotas east into Minnesota, Wisconsin, lower Michigan, and into southern Ontario, Canada. While the threat to crops has largely passed in many areas, growers are encouraged to check beetle counts again just to have an understanding of where populations are present as these locations may need some adjustments to planting intentions for next year’s crop. The risk for this growing season, however, has been removed from the forecast by late this week.
