Corn Rootworm
High corn rootworm risks continue across much of the corn-growing region for the next week, as beetle emergence and population increases will be possible. Silk-clipping is the primary threat at this point, and growers are encouraged to scout fields for signs of corn rootworm beetles. It is important to take note of local field populations as they may have an influence on the local planting intention plans for next growing season. Fields from northeast Colorado into Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, lower Michigan, and into southern Ontario, Canada are all included in the risk.
