Lingering concerns for corn rootworm beetle pressure remain in latest maturing and planted fields mainly along and north of I-80 this week with the likely greatest pressure now focusing north of the I-90 corridor but risks are being maintained south to near the I-80 corridor to account for late or re-plant fields that may still be close to susceptible stages to damage. The vast majority of fields are now past critical growth stages for this pest so only Low risks are in the forecast now for potential isolated problems, but growers should continue to scout fields where pressure has been noted as this may affect planting intentions in 2020.
