Corn Rootworm
Corn rootworm risks remain elevated in the High and Moderate categories for the next week as corn continues to move through primarily early-mid grain fill stages. Growers are encouraged to continue scouting for rootworms as even if the crop is more advanced and little to no damage is expected this year especially based on crop stage, noting where beetle populations are present will be important for planting decisions for next year. Fields in eastern Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, the Dakotas, Minnesota, Iowa, northern Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, lower Michigan, and into southern Ontario, Canada are all still at risk.
