With a higher percentage of this year’s soybean crop advances past critical growth stages where soybean aphids cause problems or yield loss, we have further reduced the overall soybean aphid risk level and coverage. Low risks continue from the central Dakotas east into Minnesota, Wisconsin, lower Michigan, and further east into southern Ontario, Canada. Later planted or re-planted fields, or any other fields that are still at a growth stage prior to R6 should continue to scout especially if soybean aphids are present. Overall, however, any remaining threat should be isolated and risks have been removed from the forecast by the weekend.
