Alert Details

Moderate soybean aphid risks are being maintained in the forecast across the eastern Dakotas, far northern Iowa, a good portion of Minnesota, and east into Wisconsin with Low risks from the central Dakotas and northeast Nebraska into northern Iowa, the remainder of Minnesota and Wisconsin not included in the Moderate risk, far northern Illinois, and much of lower Michigan as well as further east into southern Ontario, Canada. The risk window for this year’s soybean crop and soybean aphids affecting yields is beginning to close, but late or replanted fields may still be at risk in the Moderate risk area of seeing some late season population spikes. Winged aphids traversing from field to field may also become more common. Regular field-level scouting should continue until fields reach R5.5 or R6 at which any yield loss related directly to soybean aphids will end.
