With the majority of this growing season’s soybean crop across northern soybean-growing areas now at or beyond R5-R6 growth stage and treatment window for soybean aphids, we are reducing the overall soybean aphid risk into the Low category for fields across the eastern Dakotas, Minnesota, far northern Iowa, Wisconsin, lower Michigan, and into southern Ontario, Canada. Later planted or re-planted fields that are not at this stage yet should continue to be monitored closely as some very localized high pressure areas may still develop until these fields advance past critical growth stages, as well, over the next few weeks.
