Soybean Aphid
Soybean aphid risks have been reduced to the Low category for this week and and into next weekend as the majority of the soybean crop is now setting pods and the threat of yield loss from soybean aphids has diminished in many areas. Late or re-planted fields, however, may still be at risk so if you have fields that are at or prior to the R6 growth stage and you are located within or near the Low risk area, it is encouraged that you continue to scout your fields and monitor soybean aphid population trends. The risk area includes the eastern Dakotas, far northern Iowa, much of Minnesota, western Wisconsin, and portions of lower Michigan and into southern Ontario, Canada.
