Soybean Aphid
Soybean aphid risks have been increased to the High category this week into next weekend across eastern North Dakota, northeast South Dakota, and northwest Minnesota as reports from this area along with weather conditions indicate rather high aphid pressure and the potential for additional potential problems in the future, as well. Growers located in this area should be actively scouting fields and taking necessary treatments where needed. Moderate risks remain in place from the eastern Dakotas into much of Minnesota, far northern Iowa, and also far western Wisconsin in the next week, also. Problems will be more scattered in the Moderate risk area, but scouting should continue until soybeans reach the R5.5 to R6 stage of growth. Low risks are also found as far south as northeast Nebraska, central Iowa, extreme northern Illinois, Wisconsin, central lower Michigan, and also east into southern Ontario, Canada.
