Alert Details

Soybean aphid egg hatch is expected to commence this week in portions of northeast Indiana and northwest/north central Ohio. While there is no threat to any crops at this point, the risk is simply an awareness that soybean aphids are likely to begin to emerge in this region of the country. Early season population dynamics and weather will be important to monitor for later this summer when soybeans enter the reproductive stages of growth when most yield loss from soybean aphid damage could potentially occur.
